Amazon Smile

Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it's easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the "Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.

Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.” Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience. Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon.

    From the Training Director
    Saturday Rides Status

Southern California is currently under a State of California Stay-at-Home mandate. The County of San Diego's current health order reflects the stricter rules. To remain in compliance, the SDBC Saturday Rides will continue to be suspended. We encourage you to continue riding for your physical and mental health while keeping in mind the stricter guidelines just issued. This is the verbiage taken from the State's website:

"Members of the same household are encouraged to maintain physical and mental health by safely going to a park, a beach, hike, walk, or bike ride with members of their own household. Californians are also encouraged to keep connected with loved ones virtually."

Please do not gather at UC Cyclery on Saturday mornings. If you choose to ride with a friend or two from there, please leave the parking area quickly and do not form large groups. Let's all stay healthy and safe while we ride out this recent surge in the pandemic.

Are you ready to give 100%? Padres Pedal the Cause. Bound for Cures is a virtual challenge this year on May 8, 2021 centered around the mission of accelerating cures for cancer. 100% of every dollar raised going directly to local cancer research! For the first time, participants are not required to fundraise and you choose what 100% means to you. Create SDBC teams and then create your challenge - ride 100 miles, 10 repeats of Torrey Pines or whatever you dream up. You also have the option of fundraising in honor of survivors, fighters, or loved ones lost to cancer.
