The deadline for Weekly Update submissions is Noon on Wednesday. Updates are published on Thursdays. Email submissions to weekly@sdbc.org Submissions can include anything from photos to race reports and results, etc.

Classifieds for bikes and cycling related gear can be submitted by any SDBC member. Your add will run for three weeks. In the event you have not sold your items at the end of three weeks you can re-submit the ad. Email your classified submissions to weekly@sdbc.org. Please provide any photos in the original size if possible.

Volunteers Step Forward to Fill Open Positions
BoD to Appoint New Board Members

Club elections for officers and directors will be held at our annual meeting on Tuesday, December 1st. All positions will be open and are for one-year terms. Details will be headed your way later next month and will include officers and directors seeking re-election along with open positions. Any SDBC member current with their dues may seek any position – open or currently occupied. 

That’s in December. Right now we have open positions that must be filled. Membership Director Kathy Uijtermerk has resigned. She moved out of town last week. Weekly Update Director Tom Welch is moving to New Mexico next month and has already started training his replacement. (Tom’s last vote will be for Frank Lehnerz to replace him.) Volunteers have stepped forward and been screened. Per SDBC Bylaws Section III; J-1, The Executive Committee is recommending the Board appoint the following SDBC members to fill these positions with terms expiring in December:

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Club's Saturday Rides remain suspended.  We will restart the rides as quickly as possible once permitted.

We encourage you to ride your bikes either solo or in very small groups.  Some riders have been using UCC as a starting point and riding our usual routes. If you do so, please do not linger and form groups of more than a few cyclists.  If you wish to meet cycling friends there, please consider arriving before or after 8:30 to help reduce the number of riders leaving the parking lot at that time, or consider meeting in the vicinity.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The San Diego Velodrome has re-opened to members.

Tuesday and Friday Night Flying Individual Timed Efforts (no holds/standing starts) have started! The distance will typically be 200 and 500 meters, but will not be restricted to those distances. Some riders have completed 3K and 1K efforts in addition to 100m.
