The Annual Membership Meeting Is In Two Weeks
We Need You There.

The annual membership meeting is Monday, December 9th from 6:30 - 8 p.m.

La Jolla Village Square Community Room - downstairs next to the theaters.

On the agenda:

• Nomination & election of officers and directors for 2020
• Voting for Ride Leader of the Year, Teammate of the Year, and Cyclist of the Year.
• The Annual Report from the President.
• Other business.

Per the Club’s by-laws 5% of the Club’s membership is required to be present in order to conduct the annual meeting.

The agenda will be on the SDBC web site no later than Friday, December 6th.

Nominations will be taken from the floor, as well as by slate per Club By-laws Section III-C.

The slate of nominees approved for nomination by the 2019 Board of Directors will be presented in next week's update.

If you received one of the racing trophies, or Cyclist, Teammate, or Ride Leader of the Year trophies, please return it when you attend the Club’s annual meeting on Monday, December 9th in the Community Room at La Jolla Village Square, lower level. Or make arrangements to get it to your race team director so she/he can return it on 12-9.

Tell your buddies, call a friend, post it on your social media page - just get the word out!

Join San Diego Bicycle Club for the 32nd annual "Light Up A Life Holiday Toy Ride" on Saturday, Dec. 14th, to benefit the Salvation Army. The ~40-mile round trip ride starts at 8:30 am at UC Cyclery located at La Jolla Village Square.

Riders are asked to bring an unwrapped toy to carry to the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, located at University Ave. and 69th Street. Led by Santa Claus, the ride is holiday pace (slow), and everyone is welcome. The Salvation Army is collecting toys for children of all ages–toys for older children are especially appreciated–as well as canned or boxed nonperishable food.

 
Decorate your bike in the holiday spirit. Prizes will be awarded before the ride begins to the best-decorated adult rider, junior rider, and tandem riders.

Every year the Salvation Army invites hundreds of San Diego families to select from the toys collected at the holiday distribution center.

The Red & Black Friday ride has been cancelled due to the weather forecast predicting rain. The cancellation allows us to notify our members and the Eppig staff, allowing everyone to reset the schedules for Friday in a more timely manner.
