By way of introduction, I am a member of SDBC (recently moved to San Diego) work at UC Cyclery!
For sale is a 2019 Trek Domane SLR 7, Disc in a Size 52 (non-gender specific). A great endurance bike with Trek's 600 OCLV carbon, Ultegra Di2 and Disc brakes. The bike has been well-maintained and has approximately 1,500 miles on it.
Bike can be used for gravel rides with different tires!
New, the bike was $7,799. I am asking $4,400.

San Diego Cyclocross Race

San Diego Bicycle Club partnered with San Diego CX and the SoCal Cross Prestige Series staff for an awesome weekend of racing in San Diego last weekend!
On November 2nd the National Bicycle Racing Association sanctioned race took participants up a steep bank at Chollas Lake Park, (Lemon Grove) over obstacles, back down a gravel descent and onto twisting grassy turns – there were many kids and families watching the racing all day long! Our SDBC crew assisted in building the course on Friday Night and gained the hour of sleep so that they could race a second day of USAC races on Sunday November 3rd. Sunday's race course changed a bit to include some very technical punchy hills (a run-up for most) and loose dirt. Our SDBC teams did very well with most on the podium for both dates!
SDCX Terry Ford, Miki Vuckovich, Norm Laird, and SoCal Cross Prestige Race Series director Dorothy Wong and the crew from SoCal Cross all stepped up to make this such a memorable weekend – thank you to all that came out and raced or cheered or volunteered!
There’s more racing on the series schedule! Cyclocross season runs from September through February and is usually cold, muddy and wet! The SoCal style is mostly dry, sandy and dusty, but we still have all the fun competition! This weekend marked the return of this kind of racing to San Diego since 2013! The weather was great and the cool morning heated up quickly – the venue was perfect for the taco stand and our team canopies and there was plenty of parking.
A huge Thank you to SDBC for donating the park permit fees and for the hours of man-power in setting up, breaking down and working the registration tables. Mike McLaughlin, Graham Johnson and the SDBC board of directors completely supported this endeavor! Our very own UC Cyclery provided technical support and a big thank you to Dave Sadeghi and mechanic, Max Chang, for spending both days at the races. Thank you to Rene Leyva, too, for bringing out SPINERGY WHEELS on Sunday!
When you see these members give them a high-five for donating a tremendous amount of time and energy to help make this event happen: Noah Slack, Andy Gurney and James Perren all worked many hours with course set up and tear down. Matt and Stella Hale, Maison Chen and Kim Jaya and daughters Erie and Anie all assisted with awards, park reset and course design. Michael Pelkey and Maddy Ward helped us clean up and Esther Walker (along with many from the SDBC women’s team) assisted with orientation and technical training for Cyclocross racing. A huge thank you to Jan Wilcox who worked the entire day on Sunday at the registration booth! We could not have done this without all of you!

SDBC Juniors are welcome to join Torrey Pines High School (TPHS) Mountain Bike Club for practices.
Head Coach Derek Steiner has graciously invited our Juniors to come train with the Mountain Bike Club. Coach Steiner is a SDBC member and the father of Women's Team Racer Mckenzie Steiner. Mckenzie is now racing for the Air Force Academy. The SDBC junior mountain bike ride will be open to all riders, but to participate each rider will have to fill out a release form.

The High School Mountain Bike Club invites riders from all other High Schools in the area. The ride leaves from the parking area at the intersection of 56 and Carmel Valley Road. All ability levels are welcome. But all riders must fill out a release before participating (minors require parent signature). Riders younger than 13 should have a parent come along for the ride. Depending on who shows up, there will be an A and B ride.
The A ride is fast and will may not wait for dropped riders It is for older more experienced kids. There will be a fixed route, but no support for the A riders, a buddy system is highly encouraged.
Coach Derek will lead the B ride. It is no-drop, so there may be more waiting. The focus of the B ride will be mountain biking technique and fun.
