Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it’s easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the “Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.
Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.” Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience. Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon. |

There are also volunteer opportunities.

A Note From the Sponsorship Director |

Spinergy Is Our New Title Sponsor
And a Big “Thank you!” to Tom Gildred & Emerald Textiles
I am very pleased to announce that Spinergy is the Club’s Title Sponsor for 2019 & 2020. For the past several years, Spinergy has been a key sponsor, providing wheelsets to our top-tier racing teams. Now, Spinergy’s support is expanding beyond wheelsets, partnering with us to create more racing in the region while also helping us build our race teams, and developing safe cycling rides and programs for the public, especially kids. So please join with me in welcoming Spinergy as our 2019 and 2020 Title sponsor.
And in, that same vein, please join me in thanking Tom Gildred and his teams at Emerald Textiles, Medline, and FMT for their support over the last five years. Emerald was our Title sponsor, and Tom’s unfailing support for our riders, racers, and programs was truly remarkable. (Tom has sold Emerald Textiles, and the new owner's marketing focus has shifted.) Tom rides with us on Saturdays, so when you see him, be sure to say thanks. And officially from all of us...Tom...THANK YOU!
Of course, this means a new look for our Club kit as we replace Emerald green with Spinergy red. Details at the unveiling on Club Night on November 26th.
As we approach Thanksgiving, we can be thankful our Club has been so lucky to have two consecutive Title sponsors who believe in SDBC and what we’re doing!

A Note From The Training Director |
ALERT: Serious road hazards in Rancho Santa Fe
Roadways all over Rancho Santa Fe are being cut open for utility lines. Some of the cuts are not properly refilled; some are not filled at all. One of the improperly filled ruts is on Stud Loop. It caused an experienced, longtime Club rider to have a serious crash last Saturday. The sand used to fill the road cut was wet, loose sand. When he tried to power through it his wheel caught the edge of the rut. Last word we had from the hospital was that he had a concussion, and a fractured clavicle and pelvis (obturator foramen).
Pictures are courtesy of rider Frank Lehnerz.
Be super alert when riding through the Ranch until this problem can be corrected.
