The deadline for Weekly Update submissions is Noon on Wednesday. Updates are published on Thursdays. Email submissions to weekly@sdbc.org Submissions can include anything from photos to race reports and results, etc.

Classifieds for bikes and cycling related gear can be submitted by any SDBC member. Your add will run for three weeks. In the event you have not sold your items at the end of three weeks you can re-submit the ad. Email your classified submissions to weekly@sdbc.org. Please provide any photos in the original size if possible.

2018 SDBC Kit Design

The 2018 SDBC Kit is available at the Pactimo online store. Click the images above for larger views. Orders take approximately four weeks for delivery. The current store closes on 12/29 with an estimated delivery of 1/29. See the Pactimo site for details.

To purchase SDBC clothing browse to the club web site to get the team password under Members->SDBC Clothing. Then visit the Pactimo Team Order web site and use the SDBC team password to gain access to the store. Please note that during checkout if it is the first time you have ordered clothing from Pactimo, you will need to register to create your an account.

Join us July 4th for our Independence Day ride and picnic, SDBC Red, White & BREW! The ride will start at 8:30 am at Karl Strauss Brewery Tasting Room at 5985 Santa Fe St San Diego, CA 92109 (Just south of the Rose Canyon Bike path).

The ride route will be 57 miles in distance at a moderate pace, rolling out at 8:30AM.

There's also a shorter, alternate route that's about 28 miles and rolls out at 9:30A. This route will have a break at mile 12 at Java Depot before returning to Karl Strauss. The pace for this ride will be D3.

Note: The longer, faster ride rolls out at 8:30A. The shorter slower ride rolls out at 9:30A.

• The ride is open and free to everyone!
• The BBQ and Karl Strauss beer is free to SDBC Members!
• Non-Members can pay $20 at the door
• You MUST show you're SDBC membership card for the free party.
• Bring photo ID to show proof of age.
• Parking is at Karl Strauss 5985 & 5965 Santa Fe Drive, or on the street.

We expect to be back to the Karl Strauss Tasting Room around 12 noon to enjoy some great brew and celebrate our country's independence with a complimentary picnic with brats and dogs!

Our July 4th Red, White and Brew ride and BBQ at the Karl Strauss Tasting Room needs a few good volunteers.
Volunteers for check in and set up/cook,11:00-1:00, can do the short ride first. Clean up people,1:00-3:00, can do the longer ride.

The Ghisallo Cycling Initiative (501c3) is having a charity bike build on the flight deck of the USS Midway, Wednesday, June 20. They are looking for a few volunteers to help. This is a team building exercise as part of a conference, so volunteers with some bike knowledge are needed to oversee groups of 3-4 building up bikes, which will be donated to children of service members. They are providing all tools, just bring your expertise. A dinner buffet and bar are provided.

Event is 7pm - 10, June 20.

There may be an opportunity to tour the Midway as well.

They would like an RSVP by Friday June 15, so names of volunteers can be added to the event entry list. (I did not get the details until too late for Weekly last week, but it should go out this Thursday.) I have asked if they can still add names as late as Monday/Tuesday, but have not had a response.

If you can help this worthy cause, please contact me ASAP, so I can add your name to the list.
