Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it’s easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the “Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.
Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.” Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience. Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon. |

Have you Moved in the last year?

2018 SDBC Sponsors
We have several new sponsors this year - Mission Federal Credit Union is our official sponsor of the SDBC Bike Safety Rodeo & helmet giveaway program, Liquid Solana Beach, our Saturday ride coffeee stop (AKA Solana Beach Coffee Company), and ROKA a perfomance design company that designs and sells performance eyewear, apparel & equipment.
Emerald Textiles will continue as our title sponsor, UC Cyclery is continuing as our official bike club and sponsor of the men's and women's Cat 1/2 teams, and all of our sponsors that supported us last year will continue to support us this year.
Please support our sponsors. Without them SDBC would not be able to maintain the racing teams and other activities that we have all enjoyed. Visit the sponsors page on the SDBC web site to view more information about each of our sponsors or click the logos to go the specific sponsor's web site. |

Annual SDBC Memorial Day Ride |
|
Monday, May 28th |
|
Join us for a pleasant ride down Rose Canyon Bike Path, and up Soledad Mountain Road to the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial. Here, we will dismount & view the memorial wall plaques briefly, remembering what Memorial Day is all about.
We will then continue to Windansea, riding along the coast to Point Loma (to first gate), regroup, then head back through OB, with a stop for Coffee & snack, before returning to UCC.
* Tandems welcome, remembering we will have the climb up Soledad Mountain Road. Or some people cheat and go down to Windansea
Bring 2 bottles of fluid, and be ready to roll at 8:30. A group pic will be taken at the Soledad Memorial for the SDBC Weekly.
Also see SDBC.org under Events on the left side.

BIKE TO WORK DAY... TODAY! (Thursday, May 17)
Did you ride your bike to work? If first time, how did it go? Let me know at coalition@sdbc.org.
SAN DIEGO IN TOP 10 BEST US CITIES FOR CYCLING
Based on a variety of factors, all US cites were evaluated for how good they were for cycling, and San Diego made the top 10! Personally, I'd rank it #1, but I use different factors than People For Bikes. Still, #9 is excellent on their scale. Full story on 10news:
