The deadline for Weekly Update submissions is Noon on Wednesday. Updates are published on Thursdays. Email submissions to
weekly@sdbc.org Submissions can include anything from
photos to race reports and results, etc.
Classifieds for bikes and cycling related gear can be submitted by any SDBC member. Your add will
run for three weeks. In the event you have not sold your items at the end of three weeks you can re-submit the ad. Email your classified
submissions to weekly@sdbc.org. Please provide any
photos in the original size if possible. |

The ROKA Team Store for the San Diego Bicycle Club is now OPEN!!
San Diego Bicycle Club athletes will receive all special pricing (30% discount) and offers simply by logging in to their roka.com accounts.
There's a one-time step that each athlete must take to activate this system, and after that you won't need to do anything except log in for the rest of 2018.
Here's how to activate:
- Create an account at roka.com. (Or log in to an existing account if you already have one.)
- Click "ACTIVATE ROKA TEAM ACCOUNT."
- Enter your "team handle" and "team passcode", and submit. The handle and passcode for San Diego Bicycle Club athletes are listed below.
Team handle: SDBC (not case sensitive)
Team passcode: 3717
- You'll see a confirmation message showing that you're registered. Now you're done – go get what you need to ‘find faster’ this year!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you activate, your team prices will only show up once you begin checkout. We know this could be a little confusing and will work on improving it, but for now, rest assured that you'll get your special pricing – just not until checkout.
Once activated, this new system will auto-populate all team pricing any time you're logged in – i.e. year-round discounts, special "kickers" for promotions, etc.
We're currently running a closeout on 2017 gear to make way for our 2018 models. For the public, we're offering 40% off of 2017 Maverick Wetsuits, Viper Swimskins, and SIM Shorts, and 50% off Gen I Tri Race Apparel. The Board of Directors is thinking about that now. Help us create a 3-year vision plan for San Diego’s oldest and largest cycling club – we turn 75 in 2021! So please, give us your ideas. We want to hear them. Please email them to me at president@sdbc.org.
And I’d like to invite you to any of our monthly Board of Directors meetings. They're always open to the membership and general public. The next one is this Tuesday, February 13th. Details are in this Update and online at www.SDBC.org, where the agendas are posted no later than the Saturday before the meeting.

Bottega Americano Closes
Our wonderful sponsor and 2-time Banquet of Champions venue, Bottega Americano, closed its door for the last time on Tuesday. Owner and fellow cyclist Giuseppe Ciuffa confirmed the closing saying, “Much heart and soul left behind!” Indeed there was. It was a great venue with great food & service at a poor location. Best of luck to Giuseppe and his team!

The 2018 SDBC Kit is available at the Pactimo online store. Click the images above for larger views. Orders take approximately four weeks for delivery. The current store closes on 12/29 with an estimated delivery of 1/29. See the Pactimo site for details.

Then visit the Pactimo Team Order web site and use the SDBC team password to gain access to the store.
