SDBC 2017 Sponsors

We have some new sponsors this year - Spinergy, Bonnici Law Group, and Giuseppe Restaurants & Fine Catering.

Emerald Textiles will continue as our title sponsor, UC Cyclery is continuing as our official bike club and sponsor of the men's and women's Cat 1/2 teams, and many sponsors that have supported us for years will continue to support us this year.

Please support our sponsors. Without them SDBC would not be able to maintain the racing teams and other activities that we have all enjoyed. Visit the sponsors page on the SDBC web site to view more information about each of our sponsors or click the logos to go the specific sponsor's web site.

Interested in advertising with us? Please email our Sponsorship Director for details.

The deadline for Weekly Update submissions is Noon on Wednesday. Updates are published on Thursdays. Email submissions to weekly@sdbc.org Submissions can include anything from photos to race reports and results, etc.

Classifieds for bikes and cycling related gear can be submitted by any SDBC member. Your add will run for three weeks. In the event you have not sold your items at the end of three weeks you can re-submit the ad. Email your classified submissions to weekly@sdbc.org. Please provide any photos in the original size if possible.

If you are unable to view the Weekly Email Update correctly, you can view an archived copy here. All corrections are also posted to the online version as well.

Annual SDBC Borrego Springs Ride and Camp
SDBC Logo

November 18-19

It is time to mark your calendars for the annual SDBC Borrego Springs ride and camp, November 18-19.

Here's how it works:

Meet at the Mira Mesa park and ride (I-15 and Mira Mesa Blvd.) at 7am Saturday. Load your camping gear into one of the sag vehicles, and ride 75 miles to Anza Borrego State Park, Palm Canyon campground. Ready to roll at 7:30. Return ride on Sunday, via Montezuma Valley Road.

Your gear will be carried by the sag vehicles, dinner and breakfast provided by the club. Sag support is limited to carrying your gear (unless you make other arrangements with a sag driver) so you are responsible for getting yourself to camp and home again.

Trip is limited to 50 participants and you must be a club member to do this. $$=free.

We need 10 sag drivers.

Call, text or email your questions or reservations to Linda.

Other Items Of Interest

The following items are not sponsored or endorsed by SDBC but may be of interest to the general membership.

Padres Pedal the Cause

Padres Pedal the Cause is a premier charity cycling event funding cancer research in San Diego, with 100% of every dollar raised going directly to local beneficiaries.  The two-day event will take place November 11-12, 2017 at Petco Park.  There are three primary ways to participate – RIDE one of seven courses (including a special Kids route), SPIN on the field at Petco Park, or VOLUNTEER.  Visit gopedal.org for more information.

Padres Pedal the Cause is looking for COURSE VOLUNTEERS to help with critical traffic control and rider safety positions.  Shifts are only a couple hours long.  Please email Lauren Diaz at Lauren@gopedal.org if you are interested in being a course volunteer.
