Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it’s easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the “Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.
Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.” Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience. Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon. |

SDBC 2017 Sponsors
We have some new sponsors this year - Spinergy, Bonnici Law Group, and Giuseppe Restaurants & Fine Catering.
Emerald Textiles will continue as our title sponsor, UC Cyclery is continuing as our official bike club and sponsor of the men's and women's Cat 1/2 teams, and many sponsors that have supported us for years will continue to support us this year.
Please support our sponsors. Without them SDBC would not be able to maintain the racing teams and other activities that we have all enjoyed. Visit the sponsors page on the SDBC web site to view more information about each of our sponsors or click the logos to go the specific sponsor's web site. |

A Note From the Membership Director |
Membership March Picks Up Steam
Another 12 people renewed/signed-up in the last two weeks. YEA! Our goal is to reach 425 members by Club Night on April 3rd. That’s 29 new or renewing members to go.
Your membership includes great discounts. Did you know that you get 10% off your bill at Bottega Americano downtown just by showing your current membership card? (Bottega Americano is where we held our fabulous Club banquet - people are still talking about how great everything was. Ask anyone who was there.)
Other benefits include discounts at UC Cyclery and other area bike shops, exclusive member events, Club Nights with beer & pizza, special rides, and automatic membership in the San Diego County Bike Coalition.
By joining you're supporting our free coached Saturday training rides open to everyone, our annual Toy Ride for the Salvation Army, our kids’ corral and helmet give-away at the Barrio Logan Grand Prix, as well as our regional and national racing program and racing events. And you’re working with cyclists across the region to make San Diego a safer place for cyclists. All that for just $55 a year!
Memberships run for a full 12 months, so if you join now you won’t have to renew until March 2018. And there are multi-year membership options that offer discounted rates. Yes, we are a racing club, but no you do not have to be a racer to join. SDBC is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization so your membership and other donations are tax deductible - consult your tax professional for details. Join/Renew online, by mail, or at the Saturday rides. Details are at the Club’s website:

Masters Race Team |
The SDBC Masters Team includes riders ages 35 and up from all categories. Masters races provide high quality racing with a consistent and tactical style that allows cyclists of different abilities to contribute to a team effort. Our goals for 2017-2018 are to build the number of active SDBC Masters racers, develop core groups of racers in each discipline, and accumulate points in the SoCal Cup series.
Riders in all categories who are interested in Masters racing can contact Team Director Andy Gurney at mastersdirector@sdbc.org for more information. Current Masters racers are also encouraged to touch base to establish an e-mail list and to set team priorities for the year.
Note: Due to difficulties with re-directing e-mail, your response or request may not have been received. If interested in Masters Racing, please contact me directly at agurney@san.rr.com.
