Link to Amazon Smile

Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it’s easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the “Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.

Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.”  Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience.  Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon.

Borrego Ride and Camp Weekend
San Diego Bicycle Club

November 19-20

Click for larger image

A group of 25 riders, along with 12 SAG vehicles gathered Saturday morning for the 77 mile ride to the Borrego Palm Canyon Campground. There were many repeat riders and some new faces as well. Everyone made it over the mountains, through the wild turkeys on the road, past the camel dairy, Borrego sculptures and into camp with enough energy to help with dinner prep and clean up. Some even had energy to swap tall tales around the campfire.

Fifteen riders tackled the return trip, beginning with the 14 mile, 8% Montezuma Valley Road climb. Only one made a wrong turn, and climbed Banner Grade as well as Montezuma.

The remaining riders and sag drivers enjoyed hiking or biking in the valley before heading home.

Thanks to all the riders for camp help and to SAG drivers for hauling campers gear. It was another great trip.
