The 2015 SDBC Cat 1/2 team's Venge Elite bikes are available for sale.
UCC has agreed to sell those bikes to club members at deep discounted price for $1,999. These bikes are less than eight month old, and in great shape. They will be tuned by the shop before the final sale. Venge bikes are full carbon aero bikes. They're designed for SPEED. You can find the full specs here: www.specialized.com/venge-elite

2015 Fiesta Island Time Trial Series |
|
The Last Fiesta Island Time Trial of the fall series will be next month and is open for registration. Check it out on: www.webscorer.com/fitt

- Sunday, November 15th
UC Cyclery is our series title sponsor, which will provide onsite mechanical support and prizes.
Top six finishers in each category will be eligible to earn points towards series competition. Prizes and awards will be given to series winners at the last race of the season in November.
The registration fee for 20K is $33 for adults, and $17 for juniors. Fees for tandems and 40K are $45. All prices include processing fees. No other hidden charges.

A Note From The Clothing Director |
SDBC Fit Kit Night
Fit Kit Night will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, November 16, 2015 at UC Cyclery. Watch in the coming weeks for more details.
The summer jersey is still available in the men's and women's Ascent Air and Summit rflx options. Visit the Pactimo Team Store to order.
The regular jersey and all other clothing items are also available at the clothing store site.
To access the Team Store from the club web site, click on Mebers, then SDBC Clothing, sign in with your email address and password, click on Order Uniform, and follow the directions. If this is the first time you have ordered clothing from Pactimo, you will need to create your personal account.

Join SDBC Women's Team to meet other women, especially those interested in racing, for a Mount Soledad Bike Tour designed and lead by Tony Lowery of "Bike Ride San Diego".
Our ride will expose you to the most breathtaking views of the city and the climbing will keep your heart rate up, too!

Annual Borrego Springs Ride and Camp Weekend |
SAVE THE DATE
November 21-22 |
This is a 75 mile ride (each day) over the mountains to the state park campground at Borrego Palm Canyon. Trip is free to SDBC members.
We have 2 group sites, so we are limited to 50 riders/campers. The club provides Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast.
SAG vehicles will carry your camping gear. SAG drivers are needed.
SAG support is limited to carrying your gear, unless you have an arrangement with a driver.
Bring your own tent, sleeping bag and non bike clothes. The desert can be cold overnight. There are hot showers available at the campground, must purchase tokens.
Meet at the Mira Mesa Park and Ride (Mira Mesa Blvd at I-15) 7:00, leave at 7:30. If El Niño strikes we may have to alter plans.

The SDBC Men’s Development team is currently looking for Cat 4 and Cat 5 racers to join the team for the 2016 season. If you are an experienced racer or would like to start racing, we would like to speak with you! Members of all of our race teams will be on the B Ride and the D-1 Ride this week and will be introduced before the rides roll out.
If you’ve thought about racing, please say hello and get the answers to your questions.

Our “World Famous” Soledad route |
Leaves UC Cyclery at 8:30, led by SDBC ride leader(s), 29 miles, 3,120‘ elevation gain, lively, hilly & challenging with regrouping as needed. Possible coffee stop in LJ Village, back at UCC by 12:30.
Bring 2 bottles of fluid and be ready to roll at 8:30. A group pic at Soledad Park will be taken and sent to you afterwards with a ride write-up.

The Big Orange Classic

Ride 2 Recovery coming up on October 31st. At only $60 ($65 day-of) with lunch included and post-ride musical entertainment, this is a great deal! And all the proceeds go to help injured veterans.
This year it has been given a new name: The Big Orange Classic. professional cyclist Peter Stetina from BMC will be riding with us. In addition to the main ride, we will have an easy 20 mile "VIP" ride with Peter the day before from Shimano Headquarters. This fundraising event will include a chance to ride up close and personal with one of America's top cyclists (he finished 35th in his first Tour de France last year). Some brand new BMC demo bikes will be available for the ride (indicate preference when signing up) and post-ride there will be beer and appetizers. You'll also get a chance to tour the Shimano showroom and browse the latest products, including a demonstration of the new Road Hydro groupset.
All participants will be automatically entered into our raffle where the top prize is a BMC Teammachine ALR01 w/Shimano 105!

Perfect condition. (purchased 56cm complete bike, too small, so purchased 58 frame, transferred mechanicals), have receipts. $3750 retail. Frameset can be mechanical or Di2 shifting, MUST be disc brakes (they're great!).
