The 2015 SDBC 1/2 team's Venge Elite bikes are available for sale.
UCC has agreed to sell those bikes to club members at deep discounted price for $1,999. These bikes are less than eight month old, and in great shape. They will be tuned by the shop before the final sale. Venge bikes are full carbon aero bikes. They're designed for SPEED. A Note From The Bike Coalition Liaison |

Free Bike Traffic Education August 27/29:
Paid for by a grant, the class consists of 3 hours of in room training in the evening and 5 hours of on the road training on a Saturday. Even experienced cyclists will get some great tips that could be life-saving.
Course includes:
Safety tips and riding in traffic
Techniques for navigating road hazards
Emergency maneuvers
Your legal rights and responsibilities
Thursday 8/27, 6:00–9:00 pm AND Saturday 8/29, 8:30am–2:30pm.

16th Annual Cecy Krone Memorial Ride |
Monday, Sept 7, 2015

Please join SDBC for a 54 mile bike ride (that includes Les's Loop) to Carlsbad in memory of fellow SDBC members whose lives have been taken on the roads by drunk drivers.
The ride will leave UC Cyclery (home of the Saturday ride location) at 8:30am.
This is not a race, but a fun ride (moderate pace) and a time for all of us to enjoy riding together to remember club members killed while riding. We will be stopping at Java Depot on the return trip for a FREE cup of Java.
Red memorial MADD ribbons will be given to all participants to tie onto their bicycles during the ride.

46 miles with some decent climbing. Leaves UC Cyclery at 8:30, led by SDBC ride leader(s), focus on riding 2x2, including rotating paceline where possible, freedom on short climbs with regrouping on the tops, and a coffee stop at Java Depot in Solana Beach before return.
Bring two bottles of fluid and be ready to roll at 8:30. A group photo will be emailed to you afterwards with ride write-up.
Our aim is to stay safe, be challenged, and and have fun together.

2015 Fiesta Island Time Trial Series |

The Fiesta Island Time Trial series will resume in September and is open for registration. Check it out on: www.webscorer.com/fitt
- Sunday, September 27th
- Sunday, November 15th
UC Cyclery is our series title sponsor, which will provide onsite mechanical support and prizes.
Top six finishers in each category will be eligible to earn points towards series competition. Prizes and awards will be given to series winners at the last race of the season in November.
The registration fee for 20K is $33 for adults, and $17 for juniors. Fees for tandems and 40K are $45. All prices include processing fees. No other hidden charges.
Thanks to all the racers, sponsors, and volunteers. You all make our race a success. Remember please support our sponsors, UC Cyclery , and SDBC . They make our race happen.
