Barrio Logan Volunteers Come Through Again! |
Thanks to all SDBC members and friends that helped out!
A huge shout out to all of the Barrio Logan Grand Prix volunteers. We could not make this race happen without you. Comments from racers were positive. There were many "Thank yous" at the registration table. Extra thanks to those who stepped up when needed and contributed time and energy beyond their original commitment. (You know who you are, so big hugs from me.) To those who could not make it or were running late, thank you for calling, as we were able to find someone to cover your commitment in a timely manner. With the exception of a delay caused by an accident/ambulance on the course, races ran on time all day, and that is a BIG DEAL.
It was impossible to keep track of all of you, so if you missed getting a gift card, let me know. (Especially, the early morning course set up crew.) There were volunteers, not on this sign up, and I don't know how to reach them. If you know who they are, let them know we do appreciate their time and effort.
Thanks from Linda

A Note From The Bike Coalition Liaison |
Remember, SDBC membership includes membership in the San Diego County Bike Coalition which includes a number of benefits. See the new coalition website at http://sdbikecoalition.org.
BIKE TO WORK DAY MAY 15! Commuting by bike takes too much time? Are you sure? Remember to subtract car commute time! My commute by car is 20 minutes. By bike it’s 30 minutes. So I get a 30 minute bike ride for the cost of only 10 minutes. Plus, it's a great way to get two rides in one day, which is great for conditioning. What other excuses do you have? REMEMBER: Bike to Work Day is May 15. Here is a link to the pit stops in San Diego County: San Diego Bike to Work Map

SDBC 2015 Club Photo |
SDBC 2015 Club Photo will be on June 13th!
Save the date as we'd like to have a great turnout!
Everyone in the photo should be wearing the new 2015 kit.
If you haven't ordered your kit yet, what are you waiting for? Not sure of your size? The Pactimo fit kit will be available to try on for sizing at the Club Night at UC Cyclery on Monday March 16.
Clothing can be ordered here: http://sdbc.org/sdbc-clothing/
Orders take about 6 weeks to receive, so you still have time to get your order in and have it in time for the club photo!
